A jodi difference (farak) is the gap between the two digits of a jodi, with 0 counted as 10 as in matka. Example: 59 → 9 − 5 = difference 4; 89 → difference 1; 09 → 10 − 9 = difference 1. All 100 jodis fall into difference sets 0 to 9.

Jodi difference kaise nikalein (how it is worked out)
Bade digit mein se chhota digit ghatayein. For jodi 18: 8 − 1 = 7, so 18 and 81 are both difference 7. Because 0 counts as 10, jodi 80 is 10 − 8 = difference 2 and 10 is 10 − 1 = difference 9. Difference is also called farak.
Difference 0 holds the 10 doubles; difference 1 has 18 jodis, difference 2 has 16, and so on down to difference 9 with only 10 and 01. Because the sets are different sizes, compare a market's share with the "Expected" column. Numbers in red are red jodis.
Grouping by difference is a way of reading a jodi chart; it does not make any jodi more likely. See also the total jodi chart, the jodi family chart and the lifetime golden chart.
