In matka the final number of any jodi or panna is the last digit of the total of its digits. This chart groups all 100 jodis and all 220 pannas by their final number, so you can see at a glance which numbers share a final.

The final number trick
Add the digits and keep the last digit. For the jodi 47, 4 + 7 = 11, so its final number is 1. For the panna 348, 3 + 4 + 8 = 15, so its final number is 5, which is also its ank.
Players use the final number in two ways. The first is to connect the open and close: if the final number of the jodi is known, only ten jodis are possible. The second is to shortlist pannas: once an ank is chosen, the chart above gives every panna that fits it.
Each final number has exactly ten jodis and twenty-two pannas, so on its own no final number is more likely than another. For quick calculations use the matka calculator.
